VENDOR PROFILE –LISTING INSTRUCTIONS

Do a quick search in the directory to be sure your company isn't already listed.  If your company is already listed in the directory, you may select “Claim this Listing” next to your fax number to update or modify your company’s profile.

Identify the best category for your business.-  The Government Vendor Directory in arrange by NACIS Categories in a Yahoo style display You should submit your listing to the most relevant category.  Once you've selected the best category for your business, and then click "Add My Company." 

 

1. Description Field - Your business description should describe what you do concisely and accurately.  It should not be promotional in nature. Submitting a promotional description rather than an objective, well written description may significantly delay your business from being listed or prevent your business from being listed at all.

2. Product/Service Fields—List and describe the products and services you provide. Include part numbers, trade names and brand names.

3. Tagline Field— (Optional) You can add a tagline or advertising slogan to your listing. Keep your visitors interested with a clear and specific tagline that clearly communicates your company's value. Most advertising campaigns have a tagline like Burger King's famous "Have it your way,"

4. Address Fields—Be sure to include your address and zip code, a map to your location and driving directions is provided by Yahoo maps. Also, zip code searching is available. Customers can type in a zip code to find all the businesses listed in that given area.

5. Attachment Fields— (Optional) Upload up to four types of promotional, educational  or informative documents.

6. Keyword Field—Enter up to 10 keywords a customer would use to find your business, such as the products you sell or services you perform.
